Can-Am Maverick R Captain's Choice Muffler

The new EVP Captain's Choice is a "cut-out" style exhaust variation of the top-selling Maverick R Dynamic Twin Exit Muffler that delivers the best of both worlds — both quiet and loud exhaust notes in one package with the flip of a switch! With the valve closed, the Captain's Choice delivers a sporty and noticeable sound upgrade that's slightly louder compared to OEM. But with it open, the three-cylinder Maverick R engine's deep, throaty and performance-oriented exhaust notes roar to life!

EVP builds all exhaust systems from the ground up and NEVER cuts corners by using an off-the shelf can. That means the Captain's Choice was designed, sound- and performance-tested specifically for the Maverick R platform. The direct-replacement muffler includes an electronic valve actuator with plug-and-play wiring harness and dash-mounted rocker switch that keeps the variable exhaust sound and performance at your fingertips.

TIG-welded from thick-walled 304 stainless steel, the Captain's Choice muffler features a full 3” diameter from the flange for increased output to the all-new free-flowing round muffler canister. The chamber-style muffler body (no packing) delivers maximum power and distinct supercar-style exhaust notes throughout the powerband with its meticulously tuned integrated sound chambers. This allows EVP engineers to fine tune the exhaust notes and eliminate the annoying "droning" sound within the cab often found on aftermarket exhaust sytems.

The muffler’s twin exit design can be finished off in multiple interchangeable tip configurations. Additional styling features include a black powder-coated muffler end cap with laser-etched EVP logo set off by a riveted raw aluminum backing plate.

• Each EVP exhaust system is hand built in the USA and specific for the application. We don’t use “off-the-shelf” mufflers like all other UTV exhaust manufacturers. By building each muffler specific to the vehicle, we make sure there is a no compromise fit and the sound is tuned to perfection without being obnoxious. For customers that want the ultimate performance exhaust package, the EVP Racing Down Pipe with Bullet Muffler can be paired with the Captain's Choice Muffler.
• Completely re-engineered internals give customers the distinction between valve open and valve closed.
  • With the valve closed, the exhaust is forced through the chambered areas.
  • The valve in the open position allows the exhaust to bypass most of the chamber, but with just enough sound reduction to keep it from being obnoxious. It is now more refined, not raw.
