The RPM BIG FATTY Intake tube for the Maverick R is unlike any other and has like previous models, paved the way for the industry. This intake does not only lead with durability but its construction itself is just simply art. The retained use of the OEM Donaldson air filter in the factory air box is absolutely the most important factor in keeping these engines alive with adequate filtration. No filter will separate dirt particles as well as a Donaldson OEM air filter and we knew that abandoning the factory air box would only cause future issues so retaining the factory air box was crucial to our design.

Starting at the airbox it uses the factory Oetiker clamp where the silicones interior construction is equal to the ID of the airbox to create a seamless, free flowing path of air. Moving up construction of the tube, we have swept the intake tube further away from the intercooler end tanks to prevent any heat soak or potential increase in intake air temps. Entering the factory intake "box" or intercooler area we have drastically enlarged the intake with a venturi style intake ring allowing for increased air flow and increased intake air speed. We've angled the venturi ring slightly back and downward to prohibit the intrusion of debris such as dust, sand, and large foreign object from reaching the intake. This pre filtration design was brutally tested in Baja in the craziest of dust, silt, and heat conditions.

We didn't stop there though, we also incorporated our RPM Debris Cage. This hexagonal grate prevents the entrance of large objects such as leaves, sticks, mud clumps, etc. from entering the intake system, prolonging filter life even further. To top it off and let the industry know who leads this market we provide the RPM Debris Cage and a hydrophobic RPM Pre Filter repelling water, sand, and other small unwanted particles from even making it to the air filter.

A little about our silicone construction, this is a Heavy-Duty 5Ply silicone intake tube that boasts a wire reinforced construction, essentially lining the 2nd layer with A HD wire before continuing with the 3 remaining layers of construction. This makes the tube essentially impossible to collapse in on itself in any conditions or power levels.

Making this intake tube even more unique are its interior raised transitions that allow the transition from airbox to the tubes interior smooth and seamless creating an easy bullet proof installation as well as creating a smooth path of air flow.
