When EVP R&D set out to craft the perfect exhaust for Can-Am’s Maverick R, it didn’t start with an "off-the-shelf" can or previous EVP muffler design. Like all American-made EVP exhaust systems, the new Maverick R Dynamic Twin Exit Muffler was built from the ground up designed, tuned and sound-specific for its intended machine. Zero boundaries or limitations resulted in a coordinated balance of off-road toughness meets exotic sportscar performance and sound. All backed by the handcrafted quality and incomparable style that make EVP exhaust systems #1 in the game.
Hearing the new Dynamic Twin Exit Muffler is one thing. But getting behind the wheel of the Maverick R and “feeling” it is an entirely different experience. TIG-welded from thick-walled 304 stainless steel, the muffler features a full 3” diameter from the flange for increased output to the all-new free-flowing round muffler canister. The chamber-style muffler body (no packing) delivers maximum power and distinct supercar-style exhaust notes throughout the powerband with its meticulously tuned integrated sound chambers. This allows EVP engineers to fine tune the exhaust notes and eliminates the annoying "droning" sound within the cab. When paired with EVP’s new “Pops & Bangs” ECU tunes, which allow drivers to create a backfire pop through the exhaust while shooting flames out of the exhaust pipe, the Dynamic Twin Exit exhaust delivers a truly immersive tuner car experience on the dunes or dirt.
The muffler’s twin exit design can be finished off in three different tip options: Blue Flame Dual Wall Stainless Steel, Rolled Edge Stainless Steel, or Dual-Wall Stainless Steel. Additional styling features include a black powder-coated muffler end cap with laser-etched EVP logo set off by a riveted raw aluminum backing plate.
Handmade in limited batches, all EVP Maverick R Dynamic Twin Exit Mufflers come with a serialized production number badge welded onto the canister. Each EVP exhaust system is hand built specific for the application. We don’t use “off-the-shelf” mufflers like all other UTV exhaust manufacturers. By building each muffler specific to the vehicle, we make sure there is a no compromise fit and the sound is tuned to perfection without being obnoxious.
For the Maverick R specifically, the EVP downpipe has a Schedule 10 cast stainless steel elbow directly behind the turbo connection. This is to prevent the pipe from being “blowtorched” out. This area is critical because the exhaust gasses leaving the turbocharger are hottest at this point. Most use standard 16 gauge low grade stainless which will eventually fail at this weak spot.
